A Serb Orthodox Church will be opened in the upper part of the Potocari martyrdom where the Srebrenica massacre victims are lying.
Church’s Replacement Committee head Sehida Abdurrahmanovic described the church as an “obstinacy church.”
Abdurrahmanovic said that some senior officials and international authorities had promised to take responsibility to stop the construction of the church. She aded “but they did nothing but to give permission for the construction of the church.”
Abdurrahmanovic stressed that some high-level state officials and representatives of international organizations had done nothing so far to stop the construction, and they had burdened the local government with responsibility; however, the local government was unauthorized for this issue.
The church’s construction is still ongoing. It is not only located in the upper part of the Potocari martyrdom but also close to the “Budak 2″ martyrdom where 137 Srebrenica victims are lying.
The relatives of the Srebrenica victims are anxious about the probable existence of a mass grave as large as the Potocari martyrdom under the ongoing church construction.
