البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر يشارك بمؤتمر الأمانة العامة لحركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسية

ببركة وحضور البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر انعقد مؤتمر الأمانة العامة لحركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسية الثاني والخمسون في دير القديس جاورجيوس الحميراء البطريركي في وادي النصارى في سوريا، بمشاركة الأمين العام رينيه أنطون وأعضاء الوفود المشاركة من جميع المراكز في سوريا ولبنان. وقد حضر الى جانب غبطته رئيس الدير الأسقف أرسانيوس دحدل.

بعد الصلاة، ألقى الأمين العام كلمة ترحيبيّة مختصرة شكر فيها البطريرك يوحنّا العاشر على مشاركته في أعمال المؤتمر ونوّه بمشاركة غبطته الدائمة بمؤتمرات ونشاطات حركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسية، معتبراً ذلك بركة ومسؤولية كبيرة بآن واحد.

ثم كان لغبطته حديث وكلمة توجيهية رحّب في بدايتها بالحضور في ربوع دير القديس جاورجيوس الحميراء البطريركي وشكر لرئيس الدير اهتمامه بالتحضيرات.

في كلمته، تطرّق غبطته للأوضاع العامة التي تمرّ فيها البلاد بسبب الأزمات الصحية والمعيشيّة والاجتماعية المتعددة، بالإضافة الى المشاكل والتحدّيات المتنوعة التي تواجهها الكنيسة عامة، والأنطاكية الأرثوذكسية بشكل خاص.

عرض غبطته مع الحاضرين للهواجس والقضايا والشجون الكنسية إنطلاقاً من دور البطريرك أو الأسقف أن يكون “قاطعاً باستقامة كلمة حقك” أي حقّ المسيح.

وشدّد غبطته على عدّة تحديات تواجه الكنسية وخاصة الفساد، لأنه لا يليق بالكنيسة عروس المسيح أن تتلطخ بسواد وخطايا البشر مشدداً على الفرق الكبير بين الخاطئ والخطيئة، وكيف أن الكنيسة تشجب الخطيئة وتحتضن الخاطئ.

وعرّج على اسلوب التعاطي مع الإعلام ومواقع التواصل الاجتماعي التي في بعض الأحيان، وعلى الرغم من أهميتها، والدور الإيجابي التي يمكنها أن تلعبه، إلا أنها قد تكون سبباً للتشويه والتضليل والعثرة للمؤمنين. وأن الكنيسة لم ولن تنجرّ الى التمرّغ في أوحالها وزواريبها لما فيه خير الكنيسة وخير المؤمنين.

ولفت غبطته الى عدّة مواضيع وأمراض تتفشى حديثاً في الجسم الكنسي وهي: الانتقاد والتنظير، الاستقلاليات والتحزّبات.

وعرض لخارطة طريق للتعافي، مؤلفة من ثلاث مقوّمات: أولًا، التعاضد والتكاتف على الصعيد الروحيّ والماديّ في الوطن وبلاد الانتشار. ثانيًا، الإصغاء من خلال سماع الآخر والاستشارة وتبادل الخبرات. ثالثًا، الثقة ببعضنا البعض والتي نفتقدها في الكثير من الأحيان في حياتنا الكنسية.

وكانت مناسبة استمع فيها لهواجس وتساؤلات الاخوة المجتمعين والى بعض افكارهم انطلاقاً مما تقدّم وعرضه صاحب الغبطة.

وختم غبطته متمنياً لجميع المشاركين التوفيق في لقائهم، طالباً من الربّ أن يباركهم وعائلاتهم وأن يشدّدهم في خدمة الكنيسة لمجد الربّ يسوع.

Patriarch John X participates in the conference of the General Secretariat of the Orthodox Youth Movement.

Under the auspices of His Beatitude Patriarch John X, the General Secretariat of the Orthodox Youth Movement’s fifty-second conference was held in the Patriarchal Monastery of Saint George al-Humeyra in Wadi al-Nasara in Syria. The Secretary-General Rene Anton took part in the conference in addition to members of the participating delegations from all the Syrian and Lebanese centers. Besides His Beatitude, the Abbot of the monastery, Bishop Arsanios Dahdal, attended.

After the prayer, the Secretary-General delivered a brief welcoming speech, where he thanked Patriarch John X for his participation in the conference and noted His Beatitude’s constant involvement in the various conferences and activities of the Orthodox Youth Movement, considering this involvement a blessing and an important responsibility at the same time.

Then His Beatitude delivered a guiding speech at the beginning of which he welcomed the audience in the Patriarchal Monastery of St. George Al-Humayra and thanked the Abbot of the monastery for the preparations.

In his speech, His Beatitude touched on the general conditions of the country due to the various health, living and social crises, in addition to the various problems and challenges faced by the Church in general, and the Orthodox Antioch in particular.

His Beatitude presented with the attendees the ecclesiastical concerns, and issues, starting from the role of the patriarch or bishop “who rightly teach the word of your truth,” that is, the truth of Christ.

His Beatitude stressed several challenges facing the Church, especially corruption, for it is not appropriate for the Church, the bride of Christ, to be tainted by the blackness and sins of human beings, thus emphasizing the great difference between the sinner and sin, and how the Church condemns sin and embraces the sinner.

He referred to the way of dealing with the media and social networking sites that sometimes, despite their importance and the positive role they can play, might be a cause of distortion, misinformation, and stumbling for believers. His Beatitude noted that the Church has not and will not be drawn into wallowing in this mud and enclosures for the wellbeing of the Church and the wellbeing of believers.

His Beatitude drew attention to several topics and diseases that have recently spread in the church body, namely: criticism and theorization, autonomy, and factionalism.

Nonetheless, Patriarch John X presented a recovery plan, consisting of three components: First, solidarity at both the spiritual and material levels in the homeland and abroad. Second, Listening to one another by consulting and exchanging experiences. Third, building trust in each other, which we often lack in our church life.

The conference was an occasion to listen to the concerns and questions of the assembled brethren and their ideas, based on what was presented by His Beatitude.

His Beatitude concluded, wishing all the participants success in their meeting, asking the Lord to bless them and their families and to strengthen them in the service of the Church for the glory of the Lord Jesus.
