الأرشمندريت جيريمي دايفس يلتقي الإخوة في مركز جبل لبنان
ضمن إطار جولته في لبنان، استضافت حركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسيّة – مركز جبل لبنان، الأرشمندريت جيريمي دايفس، من الأبرشيّة الأنطاكيّة الأرثوذكسيّة في شمال أميركا، حيث عقدت معه، يوم الاثنين 25 أيلول 2023، سلسلة لقاءات تعارف وتبادل خبرات بين الإخوة في أنطاكية، من حيث دُعي التلاميذ مسيحيّين أوّلًا، والولايات المتّحدة الأميركيّة الّتي تضمّ أبرشيّة نيو يورك وسائر أميركا الشّماليّة وعلى رأسها سيادة المتروبوايت سابا اسبر.
بدايةً، زار الأرشمندريت جيريمي الأخ ريمون رزق وعقيلته الأخت لينا في منزلهما في برمّانا حيث رافقه الأب رامي ونّوس، كاهن كنيسة القدّيس جاورجيوس – برمّانا. خلال اللّقاء، تمّت الإضاءة على أبرز محطّات تأسيس حركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسيّة وأهدافها إضافةً إلى نقل بعض الخبرات الحركيّة الّتي توضح آليّات عملها. كما جرى الحديث حول الأبرشيّة في شمال أميركا وأهمّ البرامج الّتي تقوم بها.
من ثمّ، توجّه الأرشمندريت جيريمي إلى كنيسة القدّيس جاورجيوس حيث كان في استقباله إلى جانب الأب رامي ونّوس، الأب يونس يونس، الأب نعمه صليبا، الأمين العام لحركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسيّة الأخ ايلي كبّة، رئيسة مركز جبل لبنان الأخت ندى وازن صبحيّة، ووفد من مركز جبل لبنان ضمّ الإخوة ايلي نعيمه، كميل غزّول، وجويل كامل.
خلال هذا اللّقاء، تحدّث المجتمعون عن مؤسّسي حركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسيّة وكذلك أطر عملها وسُبل تحقيق أهدافها البشاريّة والإجتماعيّة. هذا وتمّ تبادل الآراء حول مختلف المواضيع الّتي تُعنى بها كلّ من حركة الشبيبة الأرثوذكسيّة والأبرشيّة في شمال أميركا.
إلى ذلك، قدّم الأرشمندريت جيريمي للأخ ايلي كبّة نسخة عن إحدى مؤلّفاته بعنوان
Welcoming Gifts: Sacrifice in the Bible and Christian Life.
بعدها، كان لقاء الشّبيبة مع الأرشمندريت جيريمي في بيت مركز جبل لبنان – المكلّس، بمشاركة إخوة من أسر الثّانويّين، الجامعيّين والعمّال من مختلف الفروع الحركيّة في جبل لبنان. استُهلّ اللّقاء الّذي تضمّن ترجمة من وإلى اللّغتين العربيّة والإنغليزيّة، بتعريف عن الأرشمندريت الّذي خصّ الحضور بحديث تطرّق فيه إلى خبراته الشّخصيّة المسيحيّة إضافةً إلى نظرته للروحانيّة الأرثوذكسيّة وأبرز ما يميّزها. كما سلّط الضوء على الأبرشيّة الأرثوذكسيّة في شمال أميركا وعلى العمل الّذي تقوم به على مختلف الصّعد.
أمّا في الجزء الثّاني من الإجتماع فكانت جلسة أسئلة عبّر فيها المشاركون عن تساؤلاتهم حيث أجاب الأرشمندريت جيريمي عن استفساراتهم حول مواضيع عديدة دينيّة، اجتماعيّة وقضايا آنية.
انتهى اللّقاء بمائدة محبّة حيث أعرب الشّباب عن فرحهم بلقاء الأرشمندريت جيريمي دايفس وعن استفادتهم من خبراته الغنيّة.
من هنا، تأتي أهميّة هكذا لقاءات حيث تهدف إلى تعزيز الوعي الروحي والثّقافة الكنسيّة لدى الإخوة.
Archimandrite Jeremy Davies meets the brethren at the Mount Lebanon Chapter
The Orthodox Youth Movement – Mount Lebanon Chapter hosted Archimandrite Jeremy Davis from the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, who is currently visiting Lebanon. On Monday, September 25, 2023, the Youth Movement held with him a series of acquaintance meetings to exchange experiences among the brethren in Antioch, where the disciples were first called Christians, and those in the United States of America, through the Archdiocese of New York and All North America under the headship of His Eminence Saba Isper, its metropolitan.
First, Archimandrite Jeremy visited Raymond Rizk and his wife Lena at their house in Broummana, accompanied by Father Rami Wannous, parish priest of St. George Church – Broummana. The meeting highlighted the most prominent milestones of the foundation of the Orthodox Youth Movement and its goals, in addition to sharing some of the Movement’s experiences that express its structures. They also talked about the Archdiocese in North America and the most important programs it carries out.
After that, Archimandrite Jeremy headed to the Church of Saint George where Father Rami Wannous received him 
with Fathers Younes Younes and Nehme Saliba, the Orthodox Youth Movement Secretary General Elie Kebbe, the Head of the MJO Mount Lebanon Chapter Nada Wazen Sobhieh. A delegation from the MJO Mount Lebanon Chapter also attended: Elie Naimeh, Kamil Ghazzoul, and Joelle Kamel.
The meeting brought about the founders of the Orthodox Youth Movement, its activity framework, and ways to achieve its evangelization and social mission. Opinions were exchanged on various topics that concerned both the Orthodox Youth Movement and the Archdiocese in North America. In the end, Archimandrite Jeremy offered Elie Kebbe one of his books titled: “Welcoming Gifts: Sacrifice in the Bible and Christian Life”.
There followed a youth meeting with Archimandrite Jeremy at the MJO Mount Lebanon Chapter in Mkalles, with the participation of various MJO groups from the Mount Lebanon branches: high school and university students as well as working members. The meeting, which included English-Arabic translation, began by introducing Rev. Father Davis and then giving him the floor to relate his personal experiences as a Christian and his views on Orthodox spirituality with its main characteristics. Fr. Jeremy also talked about the Orthodox Diocese of North America and its activities at various levels.
The second part of the meeting was a question where the participants expressed their concern and Archimandrite Jeremy answered their inquiries about many religious, social, and current issues.
The meeting ended with an agape, where the youth expressed their joy in meeting Archimandrite Jeremy Davis and 
how they benefited from his rich experience.
Hence, the importance of such meetings comes from the fact that they aim to enhance the spiritual awareness and church culture among the brethren.
