المؤتمرالارثوذكسيّ التمهيديّ الخامس‏

ينعقد المؤتمر الأرثوذكسي التمهيدي الخامس للمجمع الأرثوذكسي الكبير في المركز الأرثوذكسي في شامبيزي سويسرا ما بين ١١ و١٧ تشرين الأول ٢٠١٥. وتشارك الكنيسة الأنطاكية بوفد يرأسه مطران ساو باولو وسائر البرازيل المطران دامسكينوس (منصور) ويضم مطران عكار باسيليوس (منصور)، والأستاذ جورج غندور.
وقد وجه صاحب الغبطة الرسالة التالية الى المؤتمر: رقم: 201/2015
إلى الأخوة الأحباء المشاركين في أعمال المؤتمر الارثوذكسي التمهيدي الخامس،
أصافحكم بالرب يسوع المسيح مخلصنا فيما أنتم تفتتحون أعمال المؤتمر الأرثوذكسي التمهيدي الخامس للمجمع الأرثوذكسي الكبير. وأنقل إليكم محبتي ومحبة آباء المجمع الأنطاكي المقدس، الذين يتطلعون معي لنجاح أعمال مؤتمركم، ويحملونكم في صلواتهم «رافعين الشكر بفرح للآب»، الذي سمح بأن نسير معًا إلى المجمع الكبير الذي يتوج جهاد أجيال من الأخوة الذين سبقونا «زارعين على الرجاء».
وإذ أعبر عن عميق شكري لقداسة البطريرك المسكوني الذي يستضيفنا في هذا المقر البطريركي، ولرئيس المؤتمر المطران يوحنا (برغامس) الذي يجهد من أجل إنجاح أعماله، ولأمانة السر التي تبذل جهودًا كبيرة في التحضير للمجمع، أود أن أنقل إليكم بعض الهواجس التي ترى الكنيسة الأنطاكية أنها تساهم في إنجاح المسيرة المجمعية، ومن أهمها:
١) أن ينعقد المجمع في جو يسوده السلام بين الكنائس الأرثوذكسية المستقلة، بحيث تتأمن مشاركة جميع هذه الكنائس في أعماله، فيتحقق طابعه الأرثوذكسي العام ولا يكون سببًا للاختلاف او للتشرذم أو للانقسام؛
٢) أن يتم درس جميع البنود الواردة على جدول أعمال المجمع وتأمين الاجماع بشأنها على المستوى التحضيري قبل رفعها إلى المجمع الكبير، مهما تطلب ذلك من جهود، اذ لا يجوز أن ينعقد المجمع الكبير قبل الاتفاق على المواضيع المدرجة على جدول أعماله مسبقًا.

٣) أن يتم، إن أمكن، إيلاء موضوعي «الاستقلال الذاتي وكيفية إعلانه» و«لوائح الذبتيخا المقدسة» أهمية خاصة على المستوى التحضيري من أجل إيجاد الاجماع الأرثوذكسي بشأنها؛
٤) أن تقوم الكنيسة بتقييم خبرة المجالس الأسقفية من خلال اجتماع أرثوذكسي مشترك يضم ممثلين عن هذه الجمعيات الأسقفية بهدف إيجاد حل للمَهاجر؛
٥) أن يتم العمل على إعداد نظام المجمع وآليات انعقاده من قبل لجنة أرثوذكسية مشتركة. لأن في الإعداد السليم ضمانة أكبر لنجاح العمل المجمعي.
٦) أن يصدر عن المجمع رسالة تتناول «التحديات التي تواجه المؤمنين في عالم اليوم»، بحيث يتمكن المجمع إيصال الفكر الأرثوذكسي الى الشعب المؤمن بلغة العصر هنا والآن؛
أيها الإخوة الأحباء،
إن ما تقدم يدل أن عملاً كبيرًا ما زال ينتظرنا من أجل أن يأتي انعقاد المجمع موافقًا لما نرجوه منه ولما تتطلبه الشهادة للأرثوذكسية في زماننا، ولكي ننقل الكلمة الإلهية بلطفها وحدتها للمؤمنين، ونعطي العالم المتعطش الى الله كلمة حياة.
لذلك، أدعوكم أن تجهدوا من أجل تأمين الاجماع على المواضيع التي سيتدارسها مؤتمركم. وأن تبقوا أعماله مفتوحة وتكثفوها، في حال دعت الحاجة، من أجل استنفاد جدول الأعمال والإعداد الجيد للمجمع قبل انعقاده. بحيث يكون انعقاده فرحًا للكنيسة وللبشرية التي لا تنتظر منا أقل من أن نفجر فيها «ينابيع ماء حي». إن مسؤوليتكم لعظيمة فلا تستهينوا بها.
إذ أكرر أدعيتي من أجل أن يقويكم الروح المعزي ويزيدكم من مواهبه ونعمه، أرجو أن تحملوا في صلواتكم شعب كنيسة أنطاكية الذي يعاني من ويلات الحرب والتهجير والفقر.
هذا، ونعمة ربنا يسوع المسيح فلتكن معكم.

Dear beloved brothers participating in the work of the 5th Pan-Orthodox Preparatory Meeting,
We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as you start the work of the 5th Pan-Orthodox Preparatory Meeting for the Great Orthodox Synod, and convey to you our brotherly love on behalf of the Hierarchy of our Antiochian Holy Synod. We are hoping for your meeting’s success, keeping you in our prayers and «giving thanks with joy to the Father», He Who allowed us to walk together toward the Great Synod, which culminates the labor of many generations of brothers who have come before us «sowing in hope».
We would like also to express our deep gratitude to His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch, our host in this Patriarchal Centre, to the President of the meeting Metropolitan John of Pergamus, who works hard for the meeting’s success, and to the secretariat, who we know is expanding great efforts in preparing for it. In addition, I would like to convey to you some concerns that the Antiochian Church considers essential for our synodical way, and these are the most important:
1) The fact that the Great Synod should take place while peace governs the relationships among the Autocephalous Orthodox Churches, in order to assure all Churches’ participation in its works. As such, it will fulfill its Pan-Orthodox character, instead of causing disagreement, fragmentation or division;
2) The necessity to study all issues listed on the agenda of the Great Synod, and to reach an agreement on them at the preparatory stage before they are submitted to the Great Synod, whatever the required efforts are, as it is unacceptable to convene the Great Synod prior to agreement on the topics on its agenda in advance.
3) The need to give particular importance, if possible, to the issues of «Autocephaly and how to grant it» and the «lists of the holy Diptycha» during the preparatory period, in order to find an Orthodox unanimity thereon;
4) The importance of the Church reassessing the experience of the Episcopal Conferences through a Pan Orthodox Meeting including representatives from these Episcopal Conferences with the goal of finding a solution to the Diaspora issue;
5) Preparing the bylaws of the Great Synod and its rules and regulations by a Pan Orthodox special commission. With effective organization, a guarantee for the success of Synodical work is assured.
6) Issuing a message from the Synod addressing «the challenges facing the believers in today’s world», so that the Synod may convey to the faithful the Orthodox thought and way of life in a language appropriate to our time here and now.
Dear and beloved brothers,
The aforementioned shows that much work remains for us to accomplish in order for the Great Synod to fulfill expectations and what Orthodoxy requires in the present time, in order to convey the divine word both in its gentleness and its strength, to give this world thirsty for God the word of life.
Therefore, we invite you to strive for a pan orthodox agreement on the topics that your meeting will address; to keep your meeting open-ended if needed, with intensified sessions in order to achieve what is on the agenda and to perfectly and effectively prepare for the Synod before its set time. We hope for it to bring joy to the Church and all of humanity, as both expect nothing less than for us to ignite in them “the springs of life.” Your responsibility is great and should not be underestimated.
We reiterate our prayers that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, give you strength and fills you with His talents and Grace. I kindly ask you to keep the people of the Church of Antioch in your prayers, especially those who are suffering from the scourge of war, displacement and poverty.
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
