During the time of unemployment, there was a man down to his last dollar. At Sunday Service he gave 50 cents – half of all he had – in the collection basket.
The next morning he heard of a job in a neighboring town, the bus fare was exactly one dollar; but he had only 50 cents left. So he rode half way, got off, started walking to his job opportunity.
But God had better things in store for him. Passing a factory along the way, he noticed a sign saying: HELP WANTED. In less than half an hour, he had a job that paid him five dollars a week, more than he would have received at the distant town.
His first week’s pay brought back tenfold of the fifty cents he gave to the Lord.
